Meet Jonathan
Jonathan C. Schwartz
Jonathan C. Schwartz is the founder of Schwartz Legal, PLLC. Having spent more than a decade representing major international corporations, Jonathan has developed an incredibly diverse legal background handling a broad array of securities and business-related litigation, including class action lawsuits, at both the trial and appellate levels as well as in arbitration.
Prior to founding Schwartz Legal, Jonathan was a partner with a national law firm and represented some of the most well-known financial institutions on Wall Street. Jonathan handled hundreds of retail customer, expungement, and promissory note disputes in state and federal courts and in nationwide arbitration proceedings on behalf of major financial institutions and investment professionals. This experience gives Jonathan a unique understanding of the securities industry and how brokerage firms evaluate customer claims. Moreover, due to his passion in financial planning and in order to better serve his clients, Jonathan became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Jonathan believes this certification, awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., gives Jonathan a competitive advantage over his peers because it allows Jonathan to analyze a securities case differently than an attorney who does not have a similar level of education, experience, and understanding of personal finance and the financial markets.
Jonathan has also spent more than a decade representing businesses and individuals in general commercial and civil matters in state and federal courts. Typically, these matters involve business disputes relating to contracts, banking, fraud, product liability, negligence, unfair trade practices, maritime, probate, and insurance issues. As a result of this experience, Jonathan has published several articles on these topics and has become a skilled trial lawyer who can not only act as lead counsel on a case, but can also deliver innovative legal and business solutions based upon sound, resourceful, and cost-effective strategies.
Every year since 2013, Jonathan has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers, a distinction reserved for less than 2.5% of attorneys within the state of Florida.
When he is not practicing law, Jonathan spends his time traveling and taking nature photography.
